Foundations and programmes

All researchers at AU now have access to the intuitive and user-friendly fund database, Pivot-RP.

Pivot-RP does not replace the current access to ResearchProfessional, which can still be accessed. The content of Pivot-RP and ResearchProfessional is identical, but since the layout and functionality of ResearchProfessional are no longer updated and developed, we recommend that both current and future users use Pivot-RP in the future.

Access the database by creating a user account under 'Create account'

Regional and AUH employees must, however, contact Pernille Grøngaard to be created

Pivot-RP can help you find funds that are relevant to your project.

Pivot-RP is an external fund database with extensive coverage of European and other foreign external grants in all subject areas.

As mentioned, all employees at AU and regional employees have access to the database, and once you have created a user account, the results of the searches can be saved, downloaded or shared with colleagues.

New tool: EU and AU Apps make finding relevant EU calls easier

AU’s new funding tool: The EU Funding App (Funding Grant Finder | AU Funding Tools) provides inspiration and helps you to apply for EU funding. Based on automatic data extracts from your PURE profile, the app will find calls that match your academic profile. You can also test the novelty value of your project idea, find local partners and other external institutions to collaborate with as well as potential evaluators.

The EU Apps are a suite of digital tools:

  • EU Call Finder – here you can find EU calls that match your academic profile, search EU calls by keyword(s) and find calls and AU partners to match a research idea.
  • EU Projects – here you can check that your project idea is new, e.g. by searching through EU-funded projects (CORDIS), and you can be inspired by newly funded projects in your field etc.
  • EU Partners – here you can find new and relevant partners for your project, check out possible competitors etc.
  • EU Evaluators – here you can find out who is likely to review your application, match the evaluators’ profiles with your idea, strengthen your chances of success by knowing your peers etc.

In addition, you will find AU Apps, which can help you find partners at AU (AU Explorer | AU Funding Tools) and give you an overview of researchers from your department and other AU departments who are conducting research in a particular area.

How to get started?
The EU Funding Apps are easy to use, so simply try them out. You can also watch an introductory video and find a short guide here Help | AU Funding Tools.

If you get stuck, have questions or run into problems with the apps, each faculty has a super user you can contact. You are also welcome to contact Pernille Hamburger Grøngaard (email) from the Research Support Office or one of the local superusers:
