Welcome to TTO (Technology Transfer Office)

Who are we?

The TTO provides services for all five faculties at Aarhus University and the hospitals that are part of the Central Denmark Region.

The TTO's primary task is to support researchers in connection with entering, drafting and negotiating research agreements with external parties. This includes help with:

• Drafting and negotiating contracts related to research activities
• GDPR agreements in relation to research
• Legal counsel in connection with research collaborations

The TTO consists of approximately 30 lawyers, each of whom is attached to a specific department or hospital department, as well as a handful of talented students and administrative staff. Click here to find your contact person at the TTO or by sending an email to tto@au.dk.

When you contact us
When contacting us, please provide us with relevant information about your project such as the project description, budget, any grant conditions and information related to the GDPR.

If your research project contains personal data originating from the Central Denmark Region, it is a good idea to also contact the region’s legal data protection unit by sending an email to databehandleraftale@stab.rm.dk.

Fast-track agreements
The TTO has developed a number of fast- track agreements with pre-approved legal standard terms that you can use without having to involve the TTO. You can read more about this on our website.
