Each faculty has an adviser and an alternate adviser who are available to answer questions from employees concerning responsible conduct of research or suspected instances of scientific dishonesty.

  • All employees are entitled to confidential advice and guidance on the applicable rules governing the responsible conduct of research.
  • The adviser must contribute to instruction on research integrity and the responsible conduct of research, as well as monitoring developments in this area.
  • Each year, the adviser must present a report to the Committee for Responsible Conduct of Research, describing the requests received during the year in an anonymised form.
  • The advisers are independent of the university management.
  • If an adviser is informed of instances of suspected breach of good scientific practice, the adviser must advise the employee in question on how to report such suspicions. Any suspected serious breaches must be reported by the adviser himself.
