Aarhus University seeks new board member

Michael Christiansen is stepping down from the Aarhus University Board when his term ends at the end of January 2017. The board is encouraging employees, students and external stakeholders to propose possible new members by 24 October 2016.


AU in top 100 in Times Higher Education Rankings

For the first time ever, Aarhus University has been ranked in the top 100 of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings which have just been published. The ranking list was established in 2010, and distinguishes itself from other rankings in that it measures research as well as teaching and knowledge transfer.

Last week, Aarhus University could also take pleasure in being lauded in a different category. The American news site Business Insider has named Aarhus University the fifth most beautiful university in Europe. 


Find help to apply for funding this autumn

For those who want to write better applications or know more about the EU and other funders, the Research Support Office is organising various events this autumn. 6 October is the deadline for registering for an information meeting about applications to the Marie S. Curie European Training Network.

  • Information meeting on 13 October: How to write an application for a Marie S. Curie European Training Network (ETN). 
  • Workshop: Writing successful applications, 9 November, 11 November or 16 November 
  • Workshop for the Experienced Grant Applicant, 28 November

Professor of forensic medicine made Knight of the Order of Dannebrog

Professor Annie Vesterby Charles MD, DMSc, former state-appointed forensic pathologist at the Department of Forensic Medicine, Aarhus University, is being awarded the Cross of Honour of the Order of Dannebrog and is at the same time being made a Knight of the Order of Dannebrog. Many congratulations to Annie Vesterby Charles.
