Guide to notifying pacts for elections

The election system enables electronic notification and creation of list pacts/electoral pacts. This is a guide to notifying such pacts.

1. Logon to see table of sub-elections

If you are a coordinator of a list, you can create a request for a list pact or electoral pact.  You cannot create a request for a list pact/electoral pact if you can see that there is already a request for a list pact/electoral pact for the sub-election.

Log on to the system for notification of list pacts/electoral pacts via the election website.

At the top of the page, you will see a table of sub-elections to which you are entitled to vote and eligible for election.

Here, you can see requests for list pacts/electoral pacts that have already been created. You can only see requests that include a list on which you are a candidate or a nominator. Requests for list pacts/electoral pacts can be viewed and created for one sub-election at a time by selecting the desired sub-election in the table.

2. Notify list pacts/electoral pacts

Select ”opret listeforbund” ("create list pact") or ”opret valgforbund” ("create electoral pact") next to the sub-election with the lists with which you want to create a list pact/electoral pact and fill in all the fields marked with *.

The person who creates a request for a list pact/electoral pact will automatically be the coordinator/contact person for this pact.

Once you have created a list pact/electoral pact, you must assign lists to the list pact and lists or list pacts to the electoral pact. Click on ”tilføj/fjern lister” (“add/remove lists”).

Click on the lists that you want to be part of the list pact and click OK.

The lists can now be viewed under ”lister i listeforbund” ("lists in list pact").

3. Send out notifications

Select ”udsend notifikationer” ("send notifications") and select OK in the confirmation popup box. This will send an email to the candidates and the nominators on all lists included in the pact.

The email also states that objections must be submitted to the election administrator or coordinator of the request for a list pact/electoral pact, if there are any objections to the entry into this pact. This means that it is not necessary for the individual candidate and nominator to accept inclusion in an electoral pact.

It is possible to send out notifications for the same request for a pact more than once. This may be relevant if there are changes to the composition of the pact. When the request has been submitted to the Election Secretariat, it can no longer be edited or deleted.

4. Submission to the Election Secretariat

Select ”indsend liste-/valgforbund til Valgsekretariat” ("submit list pact/electoral pact to Election Secretariat”) and select OK in the confirmation popup box. The list pact/electoral pact has now been submitted to the Election Secretariat, and it is no longer possible to edit the list pact/electoral pact.

Remember to submit a request for a list pact/electoral pact before expiry of the deadline.

5. Respond to a notification

Invited candidates and nominators will receive an email. The email informs the candidate/nominator that the list on which the candidate is listed has been proposed for inclusion in a list pact/electoral pact.

The email also states the lists composing the list pact, and the lists and list pacts composing the electoral pact. No response is required to the email. However, any objections to the list pact/electoral pact should be submitted to the coordinator of the list pact/electoral pact or to the Election Secretariat.

The coordinator of the list pact/electoral pact is considered to have power of attorney to submit list pacts/electoral pacts on behalf of the candidates.

If you have been invited as a candidate or a nominator and you are not entitled to vote, you will receive an error message.

6. See status of existing list pacts/electoral pacts and notifications

Log on to the module for notification of list pacts/electoral pacts.

Here, you can see the current status and edit any unsent notifications of list pacts/electoral pacts. Both the voting module, the Master’s module and the association module have links that enable the self-service user to see their own data in E-valg. The function generates an HTML file that the user can open or save. The function, which is called ' Own data', is activated via a link in the top right-hand corner of the screen next to the ' Log out ' and ' In English ' links.

If the user has activated ‘In English’, the link is called ‘Own data’ and the content is displayed in English.
