Cleaning at Aarhus BSS

At Fuglesangs Allé and in Herning, all cleaning services are performed by cleaning staff employed at the school. In the North-Eastern Corner, cleaning has been outsourced to the external cleaning firm Kongsvang.


Cleaning standards

A joint model for cleaning applies across the different campusses at Aarhus BSS.

For cleaning to take place, the room and relevant surfaces must be cleared.

Offices

Offices are cleaned once a week between 05:00 and 12:00.

Office cleaning covers:

  • Wiping down accessible, horisontal surfaces, including desks and similar
  • Vacuuming or dry-mopping (depending on the floor type) and washing floors
  • Emptying bins of paperwaste

In order for cleaning to take place, the room and relevant surfaces must be cleared.

Contact the cleaning manager at your location to learn which day of the week your office is cleaned.

Classrooms

Classrooms are cleaned once a day.

The cleaning of classrooms covers:

  • Wiping down accessible, horisontal surfaces, including tables, chairs and similar
  • Cleaning surfaces of contact, for instance railings and door buttons
  • Vacuuming or dry-mopping (depending on the floor type) floors and removing stains

In addition, the floors are washed once a week.

Meeting rooms

Meeting rooms are cleaned once a day.

The cleaning of meeting rooms covers:

  • Wiping down accessible, horisontal surfaces, including tables, chairs and similar
  • Cleaning blackboards and whiteboards
  • Vacuuming or dry-mopping (depending on the floor type) floors and removing stains

In addition, the floors are washed once a week.

Kitchens and toilets

Kitchens and toilets are cleaned once a day.

The cleaning of kitchens and toilets covers:

  • Cleaning coffee machines, including filling up coffee, cocoa powder and milk powder
  • Emptying bins
  • Wiping down accessible, horisontal surfaces, including tables and similar
  • Wiping down accessible, vertical, tiled surfaces
  • Cleaning surfaces of contact, for instance door handles
  • Vacuuming or dry-mopping (depending on the floor type) and washing floors
  • Filling up soap, hand desinfectant and paper towels
  • Filling up items for dishwashing and a new dish cloth and kitchen towel

Passageways

Interior passageways are cleaned once a day.

The cleaning of passageways covers:

  • Wiping down accessible, horisontal surfaces, including tables, chairs and similar
  • Cleaning surfaces of contact, for instance railings and door buttons
  • Vacuuming or dry-mopping (depending on the floor type) floors and removing stains

In addition, the floors are washed once a week.
