University City parking for AU staff

University City parking permits for AU staff are only valid in the University City: you can’t use them to park anywhere else on the AU campus (which includes all AU locations in Aarhus).

Find out what you need to know about AU staff parking outside the University City

University City parking permits for AU staff are only valid for parking in the two car parks on Peter Sabroes Gade:

  • The underground car park at Peter Sabroes Gade 37 (entrance via the ramp by building 1840)
  • The underground car park at Peter Sabroes Gade 8.

There are bollards by the entrances to both car parks. There are displays on the bollards that show how many AU parking bays are available in the car park at any given time.

Do not enter the car parks and park your car unless there are AU bays available.  You’ll have to pay a fine if you park in a non-AU bay.

You should also be aware that the two underground car parks are laid out differently:

  • In the Peter Sabroes Gade 37 car park, AU staff may only park in the bays in the blue area at the back of the car park. You’ll have to pay a fine if you park outside this area.
  • In the Peter Sabroes Gade 8 car park, you can park anywhere you like as long as there are AU bays available.

However, you’re not allowed to park in reserved bays in either car park.

How to apply for a parking permit

Note that the parking permit is issued to you personally, and should only be used while you’re at work. Long-term parking is not allowed.
You can register two cars to your parking permit. But please note that both cars can’t be parked at the same time in AU’s parking garages in the University City.

Appeals against fines

Under the contract between FEAS and the parking enforcement company Avantpark, AU is not authorised to cancel parking fines. This means that all appeals against parking fines must be submitted to Avantpark via their website
