Who needs to register project time in ProjectTime? Staff who work on projects with a work time registration requirement must have access to ProjectTime. The staff is given access to ProjectTime by the Project Controller, by agreement with the Project Manager. |
How do I get access to ProjectTime? You will only have access to ProjectTime, if you work on projects with this requirement. The Project Controller will give you access to the system, if you are on any of these projects. |
How do I know if I need to register time in ProjectTime After your Project Controller has given you access to ProjectTime you will receive a welcome mail, and you can start registering time immediately. |
How do I know if any of my projects require time registration? In this report you get an overview of all your projects and the hours you are allocated to the specific projects. At top of the report are projects WITH requirement to register. At bottom are the projects without Project report: My Timereport In ProjectTime, you can access the report by clicking the small compass icon and following the on-screen instructions. |
How do I specify time in ProjectTime? In ProjectTime hours and minutes are specified in decimal numbers. That is, 4 hours and 30 min registers as 4,5. In this link you will find a table for conversion. Remember to only register productive time on the project. E.g. you do not register lunch. |
Can I collect registrations and register all of my hours on one day/month? No. Project time has to be registered on the days where you spend time on the project. |
I get an error when I try to access ProjectTime You do not have access to ProjectTime, because you are not allocated to any project that requires time registration. If this is an error, you should contact your Project Manager/Project Controller. |
I can’t make corrections in my timecard? If the timecard has the status ‘Submitted’, you can ask the institute secretary to change the status on the timecard from ‘Submitted’ to ‘Saved’. Now you can make your corrections. If the timecard has the status ‘Approved’ the timecard has been transferred to accounting. Alle changes for that month should be reported to the Project Controller, using the spreadsheet available under ‘Guides’. |
Public holidays are displayed multiple times If you have multiple active employmens, public holidays will be displayed multiple times corresponding to the number of employments. This is standard behavior and has no impact on the timesheet. |
