VMware Software

From broadcom.com you can access a VMware Workstation and VMware Fusion license for personal use. The license is free for all users.

VMware fusion/Workstation makes it possible for you to run virtual machines on your Mac. For instance a virtual Windows.

However the license does not replace the need for a Windows computer. The license is for personal use and therefore not a solution that is supported or assisted by IT Support.

How to access VMware

Go to broadcom.com
In the upper right corner, select 'Support Portal'
Either log in by clicking 'Go To Portal' or 'Register' for a basic Broadcom account Quick Link to registration form
Once logged in, go to support.broadcom.com if you're not redirected there
Click the dropdown to choose the VMware Cloud Foundation

On the left, click 'My Downloads'

Choose VMware Workstation Pro or Fusion

Choose version

Choose Primary Downloads and VMware Workstation Pro for Windows

When installing, skip the last step where you can enter a license number

Then, when starting VMware workstation/VMware Fusion, select the below "For personal use" option
