Now you can share research data in SIF

SIF (Sensitive Information Facility) is AU's digital solution for secure, efficient and responsible storage of sensitive research data, including research data containing personal data, data subject to export control or data that otherwise requires extra protection against unauthorised access.

In future, research data stored in the system can be shared in external collaborations - initially with partners from Aarhus University Hospital. It is important to note that, even though the technical solution is now in place, sharing still requires a legal contractual basis for each research project. For help with the basis of the agreement, contact the TTO.

SIF is being gradually expanded and rolled out

SIF is being gradually rolled out in research environments across AU. We will expand the functionalities as we receive feedback on use of the system.

In the coming period, we will also gradually expand possibilities to share data, first with other Danish universities and later internationally.

You have to complete a mandatory user course to use SIF. For more information about this or other questions regarding SIF, contact your faculty's local coordinator here.
