New key figures from the Faculty of Arts in 2021 show that the proportion of female professors at the faculty is now larger than ever before. They also show that the pandemic continues to have an impact on our activities – in particular opportunities for early-career researchers to spend time abroad.

In 2021 AU started to return to a normal level of campus activity, having experienced major new challenges for staff and students alike in 2020 owing to the corona pandemic. As things started to return to normal, the Faculty of Arts decided to allocate a certain amount of specific post-corona funding to the re-establishment of academic and social activities for students.

As you know, the sector plan for the provision of more and better educational opportunities throughout Denmark (also known as the relocation agreement) was finalised in the spring. The union representatives and the management have been negotiating a new agreement on working hours for academic staff at the Faculty of Arts. These negotiations have taken quite a long time. But they have been conducted in a positive spirit, and a great number of issues have been discussed along the way.
