What you need to know about the WPA process at Arts
The process of following up on the results of the psychological WPA at Arts will begin as soon as they are published in Danish on 21 February.
Three researchers at the Centre for Education and Learning (CUL) have been analysing the results of the psychological WPA questionnaires since AU staff members submitted their responses in November 2012. The publication of the results of these analyses of the reports will also kick of the process of following up on the results.
Close staff involvement
The Faculty Occupational Health and Safety Committee (FAMU) and the Faculty Liaison Committee (FSU) will meet on 1 March 2013 to discuss the WPA reports. The committees have agreed on a process, and dialogue meetings will be held at the departments and centres in March.
Cases involving bullying and harassment will be handled immediately and with due respect, at individual, group and managerial level as necessary. Staff members will be closely involved in the development of action plans to address problems with psychological well-being of a more long-term or general nature. In the first instance, this will take place at department and centre level in the local occupational health and safety committees (LAMUs).
A bottom-up process
The follow-up process is bottom-up: the action plans developed by departments and centres will be passed on to FAMU and FSU. These committees will then incorporate elements from these plans into the WPA action plan for Arts as a whole.
In the same way, the action plans developed by the main academic areas and the administration will be passed on tot he senior management team, the Main Liaison Committee (HSU) and the Main Occupational Health and Safety Committee (HAMU).
