Teaching at Arts is evaluated via AU’s shared electronic course evaluation system, which is a special module in Brightspace.
According to the evaluation guidelines at Arts, all courses must be evaluated after each semester. As a lecturer, you can choose an evaluation period for your courses. The evaluation period can be selected as soon as the semester’s course evaluations become available in Brightspace, and no later than the day before you want the evaluation to begin. If you do not choose an evaluation period, the evaluation will automatically be launched during the following periods:
Spring semester 2025: Start of June (June 5–10)
Autumn semester 2025: Start of January (January 5–10)
Please note that due to GDPR, evaluation reports will not be generated if fewer than 5 students are enrolled in the course.
If you have questions regarding digital course evaluation you can contact Brightspace Support:

Who can I call or write to for help?
Brightspace support can assist with most technical difficulties. They can be reached via the form or at 87150575.
Where should the students click to answer the questionnaire?
Once the evaluation has been released, students will receive a pop-up message in Brightspace informing them that they can now complete the evaluation. They will receive this pop-up every time they log in until they have completed the questionnaire. In addition, they will receive an email notification letting them know that they can now evaluate the course in question. You can also generate a QR-code or copy a link from the page where you adjust the evaluation period.
What does the questionnaire look like for the students?
Under "Preview," where questions can be added, you can see what the questionnaire will look like for the students.
The students receive the questions in English instead of Danish
Just above the questionnaire, there is a button where students can switch back and forth between English and Danish.
