January 1st, 2020 we apply workflow control to all external publications.

A publication is considered "external" when all internal authors, meaning authors from AU, are only affiliated with external organizational units according to the publication.

External publications are managed with the same workflow as is used for internal publications. That means that external publications are included in standard views and filters that are built on "Managing organization unit".

The inclusion of external publications is first and foremost noticiable in matrix views and in " X Research outputs are waiting to be pushed to next workflow step" shown in the task list.

In reports it may be necessary to remove the external publicationsby applying an extra filter. You can read more about how to do that here.

Persons with an editorial role, will not have additional tasks to do. It is only the publication count in Pure that has changed.
