When selecting travel class (1st class or 2nd class), according to Aarhus University's travel policy, you should choose the option that is most appropriate and economical for Aarhus University in the specific situation.

When travelling by train in Denmark, you have several options for buying tickets from DSB (the Danish national rail company), through the DSB App and with a Rejsekort (travel card).
Please note: Regardless of how you buy your ticket, it is not possible to buy tickets for more than seven passengers at a time.

Download the DSB App from your usual app store. It is easy to pay with AU credit cards in the DSB App.

DSB’s business portal - buying tickets by invoice

DSB Grupperejser (travelling in groups)

On DSB Udland, you can search and book train journeys to many European destinations for up to five people at a time.
If you need telephone assistance before making your booking, call DSB on tel. +45 70 13 14 18, Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 18:00, and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 to 15:00. Note that call waiting times are sometimes very long.
DSB Grupperejser (travelling in groups)
If you are travelling in a group of five or more people, you can get help from DSB Grupperejser. Send a booking request using this form or call DSB Grupperejser on tel. +45 33 53 10 65, Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 14:00.
At this point in time, CWT can only help with train journeys to a limited extent. Read more about how to use CWT here. For now, we recommend that you use Togrejse.dk or DSB instead.
Togrejse.dk is a Danish travel bureau which you can use to book tickets for trains across Europe.
Togrejse.dk can help you to purchase regular train tickets, night train tickets, bus tickets and ferry tickets in most European countries as well as some train tickets in the United States.
Aarhus University has an agreement with Togrejse.dk that makes it easy for staff to book train tickets.
How to book a travel ticket on the Togrejse.dk website:
Response times may be longer in some cases – for example, in connection with complex requests.
Note: Please disregard any information on the website about longer response times. This information is aimed at non-business customers.
Most of the types of ticket you can buy through Togrejse.dk can be sent to your AU email.
If you buy tickets that can’t be sent by email, there are various different delivery options to choose from. Togrejser.dk will inform you of your options.
As a rule, there are no fees connected with ordering tickets through Togrejse.dk. But in exceptional cases, Togrejse.dk may charge a fee. For example, if you make changes to a ticket several times, or if you have special requests.
When selecting travel class (1st class or 2nd class), according to Aarhus University's travel policy, you should choose the option that is most appropriate and economical for Aarhus University in the specific situation.
However, you should ask Togrejse.dk about the price difference between 1st and 2nd class. In many cases, the price difference between travel classes is relatively minor for travel abroad.

The Rejsekort Erhverv business travel card is owned by AU. AU’s employees can borrow this travel card for trips by bus, train or metro.
Advantages of the Rejsekort Erhverv business travel card
You only pay for the cards which are delivered to you. This means that you do not pay for the cards ‘in storage’.
Call +45 70 11 33 33 and provide information about the travel card number.
If you do not know the travel card number, please inform the contact person in your unit. The contact person can give you the travel card number or help to block the card by calling the customer service centre.
