When travelling by train in Denmark, you have several options for buying tickets from DSB (the Danish national rail company), through the DSB App or the RejseBillet app.
Please note: Regardless of how you buy your ticket, it is not possible to buy tickets for more than seven passengers at a time.
Buying tickets through the DSB App
There is a single app that can be used for both private and business purposes. In the private section of the app, you can easily pay with an AU credit card. The business section is a feature/configuration within the app that can be selected if your local unit is registered under the Business Agreement with DSB. In the app, you can always switch between your private profile and the business profile. If you are unsure whether your unit is registered, you can contact your department’s administrative office.

Documenting purchases in the DSB App
Private profile
The purchase of single tickets and seat reservations is documented via screenshots of the tickets. The documentation must be attached when submitting expenses in RejsUd.
Business profile
If you are set up with a business profile, the purchase is made using your AU email, after which the charge is invoiced monthly as a consolidated invoice to your local unit. You therefore do not need to handle reimbursement of your purchase yourself.
