Language Services offers translation of administrative texts between Danish and English, as well as proofreading and language editing of administrative and academic texts in Danish and English.
What we offer
Language Services offers language editing of academic articles written in English or Danish by researchers and PhD students at Arts when they are intended for publication in peer-reviewed journals or other scholarly publications. This work is sometimes carried out in collaboration with external language consultants.
Each researcher has an annual quota of 18,000 words per calendar year. The quota cannot be carried over to subsequent years.
In addition, we offer language editing for the following types of texts:
- Calls for papers
- Abstracts (excluding PhD dissertations)
- Applications for research funding
- PhD assessments
If a text falls outside our scope, we can refer you to external language consultants. In such cases, you are responsible for arranging the funding.
How to request support
Fill out the booking form below and send it, along with your text in Word format, to sprogservice.arts@au.dk – preferably no later than two weeks before the requested return date.

- Preferred return date and time:
- Context in which the text will be used (e.g. name of publisher):

- Additional comments (if any):
*Our service covers language editing of the main text and notes, but not the adjustment of reference lists or formatting.
NB: As a rule, it is your responsibility to comply with any relevant style guides.
