The school’s VIP policy on the appointment of academic staff has been prepared by the faculty management team with a view to creating joint guidelines that ensure an efficient appointment process in which the school’s department management teams involve the department’s academic staff in the assessment of candidates for academic positions, and in which the assessment is in accordance with the applicable rules and quality targets.

The guidelines includes information on:

• General information on job postings, assessment committees and appointments as well as the involvement of staff in the process
• Academic assessment of all applicants
• The use of shortlisting before the academic assessment
• Periods of employment, reappointments and extensions.
