New parking rules from 1 February

From 1 February 2018, more of the university's parking spaces will be reserved for AU’s employees. This means that from 1 February, parking conditions at Fuglesangs Allé and in the University Park will change. Parking in Herning will not be affected.

How does the change affect employees at Aarhus BSS?

Overall, the change means that all employees at Campus Aarhus must create a digital parking permit to be allowed to park in AU’s employee parking spaces.

If you have already registered your car, your digital parking permit has automatically been extended until 31 December 2020. It also covers all new parking areas, which means that you don’t have to do anything further.

If you haven't yet created a digital parking permit, you can read more and register your car here. Please note that you have to register on your AU PC.

Under "Digital parking" you can find a map of the new parking facilities under the tab "The parking permit is valid for".

Remember that the guest parking spaces do NOT allow unlimited parking. Here, there is a 4-hour parking limit, and you must remember to set your parking disk. You can always check the parking signs for more information.

Please note that you can register up to two cars, but that you are only allowed to park one at a time.

Parking at Fuglesangs Allé

From 1 February, the two underground car parks and a number of parking spaces will now be reserved for employees.  This does not apply to the large car park between 2610-S and 2641-R buildings. There is unlimited parking – however, only within the marked bays. See map of Fuglesangs Allé.

Parking in the University Park

From 1 February, all car parks between the buildings will be reserved for employees.

Please be aware that in the University Park, many parking spaces will still be regulated by the municipality - primarily the spaces along the roads. These will typically have limited parking (4 hours), so remember to set your parking disk even if you have already registered your car. See map of the University Park.

Parking in Tåsingegade

The parking conditions will not change after 1 February. However, during the spring of 2018, all parking spaces in Tåsingegade will be marked out. Subsequently, you will no longer be allowed to park outside the marked spaces. More information will follow.

What do I do with my bombizz?

From 1 February 2018, you can no longer use your bombizz. You can return your bombizz at the local Building Services or discard it. Your purchase is non-refundable, but you can continue to park in the underground car parks if you create a digital parking permit.

Where can guests park?

You can create a digital parking permit (valid for 24 hours) for your guests. This allows them to use the employee parking spaces. Read more here.

There are also a number of guest parking spaces and these do not require a digital permit. Parking in these spaces without a digital registration is limited to 4 hours (remember to set your parking disk). The guest parking spaces will be indicated by the parking signs.

You can also set up a temporary parking permit for large groups of visitors who need to park at the university on a regular basis over an extended period of time. To set up a temporary permit, please contact AU Estates Projects and Development at tek@au.dk.

If you have any questions regarding parking at conferences and large events, you must also contact AU Estates Projects and Development at tek@au.dk.

How does the change affect students at Aarhus BSS?

Students may not use the employee parking spaces. At Fuglesangs Allé, students are referred to the car park between buildings 2610 and 2641. In the University Park, students may use the municipal parking spaces.
