From Student to Leader or from Student Life to Working Life

While I was still writing my thesis, I, like many others, applied for jobs in various contexts. At one point, I sent an application for a position as a daily manager in a municipality in North Zealand. I was called for an interview but did not get the job. The fact that I even got the interview told me that I must have something up my sleeve that municipalities might be interested in. I adjusted my application slightly and applied for another similar position and got it. In my application process, I found out that many municipal employers have a limited or vague relationship with pedagogical candidates. This means that you have to be creative and sell a product yourself.

My point is to insist on the relevance of pedagogical candidates in various positions, but also to be realistic. Not everyone can be consultants, so what then? Not everyone can be (or should be) leaders, but which directions can I go in?
