MSCA PF Masterclass

Welcome to the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA PF) Masterclass at Aarhus University. Through the Masterclass, candidates and supervisors are provided training and support for all aspects of the proposal, including training webinars, feedback on the application text, and a formality check in the Funding & Tenders Portal. The focus of the Masterclass is on European Fellowships, but the RSO also supports Global Fellowship applications. We encourage all applicants with AU as their host to sign up for support.

The deadline for signing up to the 2024 Masterclass is the 12th of April.

MSCA PF Eligibility Criteria

Fellowship applicants must live up to the following criteria:

  • Applicants must have acquired a PhD degree within the last 8 years at the time of the application deadline (11 September 2024). Years of experience outside research and career breaks will not count towards the above maximum, nor will years of experience in research in outside EU, for nationals or long-term residents of EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries who wish to reintegrate to Europe.
  • Applicants cannot have resided in Denmark for more than 12 months within the last 36 months.

See the work programme for the full eligibility criteria descriptions.

Please note: Postdocs are limited to 4 years of employment at a Danish university. If you are applying for an MSCA PF when already employed at AU, it is important to ensure that your project does not exceed this limit. If you are in doubt about this, please contact us.

Fellowship Types

  • European Postdoctoral Fellowships are open to researchers of any nationality who wish to engage in R&I projects by either coming to Europe from any country in the world or moving within Europe. The standard duration of these fellowships must be between 12 and 24 months.
  • Global Postdoctoral Fellowships are open to European nationals or long-term residents who wish to engage in R&I projects with organisations outside EU Member States and Horizon Europe Associated Countries. These fellowships require an outgoing phase of minimum 12 and maximum 24 months in a non-associated Third Country, and a mandatory 12-month return phase to a host organisation based in an EU Member State or a Horizon Europe Associated Country.

See the EU MSCA website here for more information.
