Phrase gives you access to enhanced machine translation solutions with tailored input from AU's own termbases and translation memories. It won't do all the translation work for you, but it will provide you with an integrated and customised platform to help you become a more confident, competent and productive translator.

Phrase is quick to learn and easy to use, but you need a licence to get started.
We offer Phrase licenses to AU employees (including student assistants) who regularly translate between Danish and English or who are about to embark on a specific translation project.
To apply for a licence, write to us at Sprogservice@au.dk. All we need to know is your name, AU email address and department, but it's always good to tell us something about the types of texts you translate so that we can set up your user profile in a way that suits your needs.
Phrase offers webinars that show you the basics [LINK to section below], but you'll also need an introduction session with us so that we can tweak your user settings and give you more tailored guidance. We can't teach you how to translate, but we can walk you through the Phrase features, give you some tips on postediting machine translation output, and help you get the most out of the tool. We'll arrange an introduction session when you contact us for a license.
