Workshop on dealing with and preventing offensive behaviour

This workshop is intended for managers with staff responsibilities who might have to conduct a difficult dialogue with employees on offensive behaviour.


Purpose

  • To present the university’s guidelines on dealing with offensive behaviour – such as bullying or harassment – with a focus on the manager’s particular responsibilities
  • To prepare participants for resolving and following up on incidents of offensive behaviour, including how to deal with:
    1) dialogues with a person who feels offended and
    2) dialogues with a presumed offender
  • To offer ideas for preventing offensive behaviour

Duration and form

The workshop lasts approximately three hours and alternates between short presentations, discussions in groups and casework.

The workshop will take place in English.
