Digital Welcome to Aarhus University

As a new employee, we recommend that you watch our Digital Welcome to Aarhus University. It complements the introduction you will receive in your department and provides useful information about your new workplace.

What is the Digital Welcome?

In the digital welcome, we’ll give you a broad overview of Aarhus University. You’ll get a general introduction to the university, how we are organised, how we work, and what we value as a workplace.

To make it manageable, the information is divided into smaller sections. You can go through the different sections in the order and at the pace that suits you. The content is a mix of text, animations, and videos.

Tips for using the Digital Welcome

  • All employees are welcome to access the Digital Welcome.
  • If you are a new AU employee, we recommend that you watch the presentation as soon as possible. It’s full of relevant information, and provides a clear, accessible overview of the organisation, as well as tools and resources to help you in your work.
  • You can access the digital welcome from a computer, smartphone or tablet.
  • The videos have voiceovers. So remember to make sure that your speakers or headphones are connected.
  • You can turn captions on and off by clicking the little icon at the bottom right-hand corner of the frame around the video.
  • The system automatically remembers how much of the presentation you’ve watched, you can log out and resume watching at any time without having to start over.

Access to the Digital Welcome

  • You access the Digital Welcome by clicking the orange button above.
  • Log in with your AU username '[email protected]' and the password you have created for your AU-email account. You can also log in via SSO, single sign-on, if you have set up Authenticator on your phone.

Login issues?

Please contact your local IT support in case of problems logging in to the Digital Welcome

Your data

In order for you to access the AU Staff Learning platform, the following data has been shared with the system provider:

  • Name
  • AU ID
  • Work email
  • Work phone number
  • Work address
  • Your place of employment at AU

In the platform, we log which modules you have viewed.

This data is stored on servers in Denmark by the provider Conzentrate. The data is retained throughout your employment and for one year after your deactivation in AU's systems.

You have the right to request the deletion of your data after your employment ends. If so, please contact [email protected].
