Digital Welcome to Aarhus University
Are you a new employee at AU? Then you'll find a lot of relevant information, a good overview of the organization, and tools for your daily work life in the Digital Welcome.
What is the Digital Welcome?
The Digital Welcome consists of a welcome from Rector Brian Bech Nielsen, as well as four modules:
1. About AU
2. AU as an organisation
3. Working at AU
4. Practical information
It takes approximately 30-45 minutes to go through the welcome from start to finish.
First, watch the three videos, and the rest will unlock
Initially, you should watch three videos related to rector’s welcome, module 1 and module 2. The rest of the content will be unlocked after you've watched the videos, and then you can delve into the various topics—either in the suggested order or in any order you prefer. It's entirely up to you.
The system automatically remembers where you left off, so after watching the three short videos, you can log back into the welcome at any time and use it as a reference.
How to get the most out of the Digital Welcome
- All employees are welcome to access the Digital Welcome.
- If you are a new AU employee, we recommend that you watch the presentation as soon as possible. It’s full of relevant information, and provides a clear, accessible overview of the organisation, as well as tools and resources to help you in your work.
- You can access the digital welcome from a computer, smartphone or tablet.
- The videos have voiceovers. So remember to make sure that your speakers or headphones are connected.
- You can turn captions on and off by clicking the little icon at the bottom right-hand corner of the frame around the video.
- The system automatically remembers how much of the presentation you’ve watched, you can log out and resume watching at any time without having to start over.
Access to the Digital Welcome
- You access the Digital Welcome by clicking the orange button above.
- Log in with your AU username 'auxxxxxx@uni.au.dk' and the password you have created for your AU-email account. You can also log in via SSO, single sign-on, if you have set up Authenticator on your phone.
