The administration at Aarhus University consists of six administrative divisions, four administration centres and the Rector’s Office. Other units include Kitchen and Centre for Educational Development (CED).
The six administrative divisions are: AU Estates, AU Research Support and External Relations, AU HR, AU IT, AU Student Administration and Services, and AU Finance. They offer support and services to AU as a whole.
The administration centres offer support and services to their respective faculties and are headed by an administration centre manager who reports to the university director and the dean of the faculty in question.
AU Student Administration and Services performs central supportive administrative tasks for the AU studies administration in collaboration with the faculties.
AU Student Administration and Services consists of five units: Student recruitment and Admissions, Educational Administration Systems, International Office, Student Academic Support Services, and Educational Development and Analysis.
The main task of the Rector's Office is to offer political, strategic and legal advisory services and sparring to the senior management team with particular focus on the rector, the pro-rector and the university director.
The Rector's Office is divided into five units: Analysis and Policy, Events and Communication Support, Jura og Legal Support and Secretariat, Communication and Press and Head of Staff and PA group.
Kitchen supports the Business Committee in its efforts to implement Aarhus University’s business initiatives. Kitchen also supports the coordination group in this respect.
