As all rooms are generally reserved for the orientation week activities for the Bachelor’s degree programmes in week 35, the orientation day(s) for new Master’s degree students will be scheduled for week 36. However, they may be scheduled for week 35, provided the rooms are not in use for Bachelor’s orientation activities. If you wish to hold orientation activities in week 35, you must submit the time and any specific room requests by 15 May, after which rooms will be allocated. Lists of new Master’s degree students can be retrieved and welcome letters sent much earlier than for Bachelor’s degree students, as the admission procedure is different. Welcome letters for new Master’s degree students are sent via Digital Post before the summer holidays (in week 27). In the letter, new students will find a link to the study portal page for new students, as well as information about the commencement of studies exam and course registration. Then the admission lists are sent to the school

New Master’s degree students at Arts are offered admission to their programme between 1 May and 5 June. They must accept their offer of admission by 10 June. Once the students have accepted their offer, they will receive a letter of admission from AU Student Administration and Services with important information about their admission. If students have not previously been enrolled at Aarhus University, they can also find information on how to register in the systems. The letter also contains a link to the study portal page for new students at Arts.
After 10 June, the orientation week coordinators will retrieve a list of all new Master’s degree students at Arts, who will then receive a welcome letter from them via Digital Post. In the welcome letter, the students are referred to their local orientation page.
Here, students can find their local orientation programme and welcome letter. They can also find information about the systems, the commencement of studies exam, study@au and more.
