Hourly paid student employees

Student members of the Union of Commercial and Clerical Employees in Denmark (HK) and IT-workers

AU HR has prepared guidelines on the employment of students and student programmers (please see the Danish version).

The terms of pay and employment of students employed by the state to do office work are regulated by the multi-union collective agreement of the Organisations of Public Employees – Denmark (State) (OAO-S) (Fællesoverenskomst mellem Finansministeriet og Offentligt Ansattes Organisationer - Det Statslige Område (OAO-S-Fællesoverenskomsten) ) and the circular on a collective agreement for administrative officers, laboratory technicians and IT workers (HK) employed by the state (Cirkulære om organisationsaftale for Kontorfunktionærer, laboranter og IT-medarbejdere (HK) i staten), see section 35. The term used for this type of student is ‘HK student’.

Students employed by the state to perform IT work are paid in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance of Denmark, the Confederation of Teachers Unions and CO10 – the Danish Confederation of Public Employees of 2010 (the LC/CO10 Collective Agreement) (Fællesoverenskomst mellem Finansministeriet og Lærernes Centralorganisation og CO10 - Centralorganisationen af 2010 (LC/CO10-fællesoverenskomsten)) and the Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance of Denmark and PROSA/STAT IT Employees (PROSA) employed by the State (Organisatonsaftale mellem Finansministeriet og PROSA/STAT IT-medarbejdere (PROSA) i statens tjeneste), see section 12. To be employed as an IT-worker (PROSA), it is a requirement that the student in question performs work as described in the annexe to the PROSA collective agreement.

Aarhus University (8000 Aarhus C) has concluded a local pay agreement with the relevant organisations.

Local pay agreements may have been concluded for various main academic areas. For further information, please refer to the websites of the main academic areas.

The terms of pay and employment of students employed as student assistants, student teachers etc. are regulated by the Collective Agreement for Student Teachers at Universities etc. (Overenskomst for studenterundervisere ved universiteter mv.).

AU HR has prepared guidelines in that respect (in Danish).
