Circle U educational activities

There is now an opportunity to apply for funding for Circle U. educational activities in collaboration with one of the other Circle U. universities.

Requirements

Funding can be applied for the following activities:

  • Developing events, seminars (up to 25,000 DKK per grant for support with student assistant hours, material preparation, or other assistance that could be helpful)
  • Inviting instructors from Circle U. universities for guest lectures (up to 10,000 DKK per visit)
  • Developing new formats, concepts, and courses (up to 25,000 DKK per grant for support with student assistant hours, material preparation, or other assistance that could be helpful)
  • Developing specific subject packages (up to 25,000 DKK per grant for support with student assistant hours, material preparation, or other assistance that could be helpful)

It is required that at least one other Circle U. university is involved, that the application is approved by the relevant department head, and that there is an agreement for collaboration from an employee at one of the 8 Circle U. universities. The funding for educational activities can be applied for alongside the mobility fund.

It is recommended to contact a relevant colleague at the specific university directly or reach out to a faculty, department, center, or the university’s international office to make arrangements for a specific visit or stay.

Academic staff at the Faculty of Arts.

Destination

The funds are specifically aimed at collaborative educational activities with universities in the Circle U. alliance:

  • Université Paris Cité
  • UCLouvain
  • King’s College London
  • Humboldt University Berlin
  • University of Belgrade
  • University of Oslo
  • Università de Pisa
  • Universität Wien

Which expenses are reimbursed?

Funds can be applied for to cover travel and accommodation expenses for a guest lecturer (up to 10,000 DKK per visit) and for release from teaching, support with student assistant hours, material preparation, or other assistance that could be helpful (up to 25,000 DKK per project).

Expenses for representation, such as dinners and gifts, conference and course participation, or project expenses such as equipment transport, are not covered.

Application

Fill out the application form. There is a rolling application deadline, and the funds are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications will be assessed by the Pro-Dean for Education.

The application requires approval from the department head, and confirmation of this must be attached.

To ensure the funds benefit as many as possible, a collaboration agreement must be in place before applying (documentation for this must be included). Activities that have already been completed will not be supported.

Only one application can be submitted per activity.

Reimbursement

More information about reimbursement will be provided upon grant approval.

All activities must be completed and reimbursed by the end of 2025.
