Access card

On this page you will find information about access control and ordering access cards at Nat-Tech at Aarhus University. Access control ensures that employees, students and external partners get the right access to Nat-Tech's buildings. Here you can read how to get access and who to contact if you have questions, changes or problems with your access card.

Access to employees at Nat-Tech

Employee at Nat-Tech Administration Center

  • Order your acces card here:  Ordering admission cards
  • Once you have received your access card, you must contact us at the Nat-Tech Building Services Administration to be granted access to your area. Send us an email with the following information:
    • Your auID or card number
    • Your place of employment
    • The access profiles you need. If you are in doubt, you can ask your immediate manager.

 

Employee at the department/centre

Employees at departments and centres are granted access through their own department. Therefore, contact your local branch secretariat. If you need special access that extends beyond your department/centre, you must contact the Nat-Tech Building Services Administration.

 

External cards

External cards are awarded to employees from companies that have an external affiliation with the university. We order access cards for external partners via Nat-Tech Building Service Administration. When you contact us, you will need to provide the following information:

  • Cardholder's full name
  • Cardholder's phone number
  • Company
  • Title
  • Contact person at AU
  • Duration
  • Area/Access Profile
  • Note: We can grant access for a maximum of one year at a time.

 

Guest cards and temporary cards

Guest cards can be used by, for example, guest researchers or PhD students with a temporary affiliation to Aarhus University.

  • Each department can have a number of visitor cards produced for use as needed. Guest cards can be ordered by contacting us at Nat-Tech Building Services.
  • We assign access to guest cards based on the following information:
    • Cardholder's full name
    • AU contact person
    • Duration
    • Area/Access Profile
  • Note: We can grant access for a maximum of 3 months at a time.

Acces to students at Nat-Tech

Students at Nat-Tech

  • Students order student cards via mitstudie.au.dk. The student card serves as an access card. Read more here: How to get your student card and activate it at Aarhus University
  • As a student, you are automatically granted access for one semester at a time, based on your courses.
  • However, if you lose your student card and order a new one, access will not be transferred automatically. Therefore, contact the secretariat where you are enrolled to be granted access.
  • If you need special access, you must generally contact the secretariat of your degree programme.

Problems with access cards

If you experience problems with your access card, you are welcome to contact us at the Nat-Tech Building Service Administration. We help with troubleshooting and clarification.

Send us an email with a description of the problem and where the problem has occurred (area/door) as well as your card number. We strive to respond to all inquiries about errors as soon as possible, but you can expect up to five days response time. If the problem is urgent, please mark it in your email.
