Schedule for elections to the occupational health and safety organisation
Election for the Health and Safety Organisation at Aarhus University is held over a period of approx. 6 months - from October 2023 to March 2024. During this period a lot of things takes place in the Health and Safety Organisation and among the various decision-makers. Here is a sum of the most important dates.
The most important dates:
- 2 October 2023: Deadline for decision of occupational health and safety structure at department/center/deputy director department
- 1 November 2023: Deadline for decision on AU's occupational health and safety structure
- 27 November 2023 - 7 December 2023: Nomination of occupational health and safety representative candidates to occupational health and safety groups
- 4 December - 14 December 2023: Appointment of occupational health and safety managers to the occupational health and safety groups
- 11 December 2023 - 21 December 2023: Election of occupational health and safety representative, where there are the need of an election between candidates
- 1 March 2024: The new occupational health and safety organisation assumes the role
Phase 1: Preparation and communication
27 March 2023: Orientation and discussion of the time schedule at HAMU
2 quarter of 2023: FAMU/AAMU get the time schedule and the process for the OHS-structure and local election manager
July - September 2023: Head of Department/Center Manager/Deputy Director discuss with LAMU whether to change their OHS-structure and they appoint 1 – 2 election coordinators
August/September 2023: Communication about the OHS-election is send to the leaders to pass on to the organization
2 October 2023: Deadline for decision of occupational health and safety structure at department/center/deputy director department
Primo October 2023: Communication about the OHS-election is send in Newsletters
1 November 2023: Deadline for decision on AU's occupational health and safety structure
Primo/medio November 2023: Rector approves new OHS-structure
27 November 2023 - 7 December 2023: Nomination of occupational health and safety representative candidates to occupational health and safety groups
4 December 2023 - 14 December 2023: Appointment of occupational health and safety managers to the occupational health and safety groups
11 December 2023 - 21 December 2023: Election of occupational health and safety representative, where there are the need of an election between candidates
8 January - 28 februar 2023: Election to the local occupational health and safety commitee LAMU, hereafter to fakulty occupational health and safety commitee/administration occupational health and safety commitee FAMU/AAMU and then to the head occupational health and safety commitee HAMU
Phase 2: Election to the occupational health and safety groups and the occupational health and safety committees
Phase 3: Occupational health and safety training for members of the occupational health and safety organisation
1 - 2 quarter 2024: Statutory occupational health and safety training for newly elected occupational health and safety representatives and newly appointed managers. Dates are published on the election website in the autumn of 2023.
