What is the workplace culture like in your unit?
Create a shared vision of what your workplace culture is like now and what you'd like it to be. Then outline specific ways to improve it and how you will follow up.


On this page, you will find tools to start a dialogue about the current and desired workplace culture. Perhaps an APV, restructuring, conflict, or a desire to warmly welcome new colleagues has already highlighted the area you want to focus on. If so, you can go directly to the workshop materials.

Culture Check

Culture Check is a research-based questionnaire and dialogue tool that reveals aspects of a workplace culture based on the factors “stability”, “relationships”, “development” and “results”. Use it together to identify which area within workplace culture you would like to focus on.

Here you will find slides for 2 workshops that guide you through the 4 steps of working with workplace culture within a selected focus area. If you do not know your focus area, we recommend starting with the Culture Check tool. The presentations are ready to use, but you can also customize them as needed. If you are a large team, you may need to extend the time so everyone has a chance to speak.

Workshop 1: Our desired workplace culture

Slides for a 3-hour workshop. Based on the chosen focus area, you will discuss: What characterises our culture? What do we want? Which specific actions will have an impact? Who does what and when do we follow up?

Workshop 2: Focus on improvements

Slides for a 1.5-hour workshop. Based on the chosen focus area, you will share examples of improved workplace culture, what is still challenging, and what your next steps should be.
