The PC is pre installed with Office 365. Please note that it may take up to 24 hours before the license is released. Until then, you can use webmail and online Office applications from Office.com.
If you need other applications such as Adobe Acrobat, Chrome, Firefox etc., you can download and install via AU's Company Portal
The first time you sign in to your AU account on your new PC, it must be connected to AU’s network with a network cable, either in your office or at the help desk. You can’t sign in unless you’re on AU’s network. Network adapters are not included as standard accessories with laptops, but you can purchase them in the webshop here.
If the default user displayed on the sign-in screen is not you (for example, ‘Administrator’) select ‘Other user’ in the bottom left-hand corner. Sign in with your AU ID (auxxxxx) and your PC password. If you’re a new employee, you’ll find your AU ID in the welcome mail sent to your private email address. If you haven’t created a password yet, you’ll also find a guide in the welcome mail.
The first time you sign in, you’ll be prompted to select a display language, Danish or English. Select your preferred language, and then restart your PC before starting any other programs.
Once NoMAD has approved your UNI username and password you’ll be prompted to sign in again. This is because the local password for your Mac doesn’t match the UNI domain.
Key in ‘nosecret’ when it asks you for ‘password for your Mac’.
Then NoMAD will synchronise the local password with the UNI domain, and the ‘nosecret’ password will no longer be valid.
To sign into your email account and a lot of other AU systems, you need to set up two-factor authentication on your phone.

This programme is pre-installed on AU PC client computers. To activate your license, you need to sign in to your account. The first time you open Adobe Acrobat Pro, sign in with the username auxxxxx@uni.au.dk.

How do I avoid that my external monitors go black, when closing the lid on my laptop?
In your windows menu, search for Control Panel -> Power Options -> Choose what closing the lid does. Mark settings with "do nothing" when I close the lid and save changes.
