Waste management

As part of its climate strategy, Aarhus University aims to increase the proportion of waste that is recycled. Waste management is therefore a strategic focus area.
This means that staff and students at the university are required to sort waste into up to 10 different categories.

At Arts, we sort waste into six categories:

  • Residual waste
  • Food waste
  • Food and drink cartons
  • Plastic
  • Glass
  • Metal
